Richard McDonald, Principal Landscape Architect, in his 15 year career has developed extensive design and project management in the field experience while working on hundreds of outdoor athletic facilities.
A graduate of North Dakota State University with a degree in Landscape Architecture and Environmental Design, Mr. McDonald has experience in professional, collegiate, K – 12 and municipal sport facilities. This experience ranges from football, soccer, baseball, track, tennis, rugby and lacrosse.

Mr. McDonald’s natural and synthetic turf design experience emphasizes working with stadium officials and groundskeepers to build a working field that both functions exceptionally and is easily maintained. Whether building an integrated gravity drained field 30’ below sea level for the Oakland/Alameda County Coliseum or an underground heating system at Lambeau Field for the Green Bay Packers, problems that seem astronomical can be solved with minimal risk to the client
